When COVID-19 forced the cancellation of the company's annual holiday event, the earmarked funds were distributed to community organizations selected by employees.
ORLANDO, Fla. (January 28, 2021) – COVID-19 soured holiday celebrations for so many people in December, including the 62 employees of AutoPayPlus by US Equity Advantage, the nation’s leading automotive biweekly loan payment service. But, thanks to a lemonade moment, the season was a little brighter for seven nonprofit organizations. When AutoPayPlus made the difficult decision to cancel its traditional end-of-the-year employee event due to travel restrictions for remote team members, concerns for extended family and the lack of a suitable venue, the company decided to use funds budgeted for the event to help those in need. Employees based at the company’s headquarters in Orlando, Florida, selected a local organization called Baby DJ. Founded by “Johnny Magic,” the long-time host of Central Florida’s top-rated morning radio show, the program makes it possible for impoverished families to provide a wonderful holiday experience for their children. Additionally, AutoPayPlus held a competition among its national field teams to nominate charities in their region. The selected charities were:
West Region:PERKS, an industry-first fintech solution for increasing profits from customer-pay service and boosting customer retention by combining the company’s biweekly loan payment service with the added advantage of a Mastercard debit card at no additional cost to the customer or dealer.
